Ingredients
  1. 1 medium to large tomato
  2. 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  3. 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
  4. 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  5. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  6. salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Slice the tomato in approximately 1/4 inch thick slices.
  2. Do the same for the mozzarella.
  3. Alternate layers between the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
  4. First, a tomato slice, then mozzarella slice, then a couple leaves of basil; beginning and ending with tomatoes.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper, if desired.
