Ingredients
- 3 - 14 oz. cans of beans (Bush's beans only, any variety of flavours, honey, molasses, etc.)
- 1 pound of bacon (cooked, chopped)
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 - 14 oz. cans pineapple drained (1 can tidbits, 1 can crushed)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbs. Dijon mustard
- 5-6 dashes of hot sauce (tobasco)
- 2 tbs. brown sugar, or more to taste
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Chop raw bacon and fry over medium heat until crispy.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Drain grease leaving about 2 tbs. in pan.
- Cook onion in bacon grease until soft.
- Combine all ingredients and cook at 300F in oven until it bubbles.
- Leave on low heat in oven stirring occasionally until time to serve.
